We
are authorized dealers of almost all the manufacturers of StairLifts:
Acorn StairLifts,
Bruno Chair StairLifts,
Harmar StairLifts and
Summit StairLiftst.
All the manufacturers today are built very well. After our years of
experience, we highly recommend the Acorn if you are looking for a Straight
StairLifts at an excellent price.
The
Acorn StairLifts were redesigned about 3 years ago, and they offer
superior workmanship and features (including a key switch and built in
diagnostics - that digitally displays and service issues). The Acorn
StairLifts also has the finger tip controls on both sides of the arm rests,
which is a great feature if one hand is better than the other hand.
Bruno is still the most respected
name in StairLifts. There most economical model with the best price and
cost is the Bruno 2750. If you need a heavy duty unit, or are transferring
in and out of a wheelchair, the SRE-1550 is unsurpassed. If money is not
really a concern, and you want the highest quality and best design StairLifts,
then we would highly recommend the
Bruno Elite StairLifts SRE-2010.
The Outside Exterior Model SRE-2010E is unsurpassed. The Acorn and Summit
Outdoor and Exterior Units are good, but the Bruno Elite Outdoor Exterior
SRE-2010E is by far the very best in terms of quality and design.
Standard features of
new units usually include a beige color, vinyl or fabric seat, low-profile
design (14" - the exact specification of the unit with the seat and foot rests
folded up), aluminum track, the safety features built in (automatically stopping
when the footrest or arm rest hits something), the battery charging system,
electronic brakes, battery powered smooth start operation, wireless remote
controls, built-in diagnostics (most units today have built in diagnostics
letting you know if anything needs servicing on the unit), . .
Then we ask your health conditions. Units are
designed so they can be used without anyone else's assistance. All units come
with a seat belt; and the units are made to go upstairs and downstairs at the
simple touch of a button. The button control is usually put on the right side,
so we need to know if both hands are working the same. The new unit by
Acorn has the controls coming standard on both
sides. We need to know if you are going to be operating the unit yourself, or
with someone. All units come standard with both top and bottom remote controls;
so someone else can be actually pushing the bottons.
Some people cannot bend their legs into a
sitting position; and there are units that allow you to perch or stand.
We need to know if once you are at the top or
bottom of the stairway, if you are going to be transfering to a walker or a
wheelchair. All units have a swivel seat for the stop, some units swivel both
top and bottom; all units have flip up arm rests except the
SRE-1550 which have special swing-away
(horizontal) arm rests.

and Service. The StairLifts track easily mounts on top of either your
right or left side of your stairway. Standard 110 outlet is only required, you
simply plug it in. The Senior Staircase Lift actually operated on a
battery charger and the Handicap StairLift unit will still work if there is a
power outage. The Disability Stairway Lifter seat will swivel on both
the top and bottom of the stairway, making transferring in and very easy. You
simply operate the finger tip controls to go up and down; and the unit will
automatically turn off is there is any obstructions in the way. Remote Control
call and send buttons are standard for both the top and bottom of the stairway.
Select a model for your personal use, and take a health break. No one will get
you a Better Price, or will give you better Service or will install a unit
Faster. Since 1964, we have made "Your 100% Total Satisfaction Our Only
Goal."
Is your StairLifts for
a Straight Stairway or Curved, Right Angle, or with a Landing?
We
need your confirmation that your stair case is made out of wood; and also a
confirmation that your bottom floor or landing is either wood, concrete or
marble. (It is always recommended that the unit be installed resting on the
landing; although, it is not always "wanted" or practical. Some models have a
flip up bottom track that is not attached to the floor - and can also get out of
the way of any passage way or door.)

Before
you buy a StairLifts, we need to know the details that will lead to your 100%
satisfaction. When you call us, we are going to have to ask you several
questions to determine the best unit for you.
Of course, we know the COST will always be a primary concern, whether you are
a millionaire or are primarily living off social security. We know that
most people are not "rich and famous" and are most interested in getting a
quality StairLifts at the most economical cost.
The first question is if you are looking
for a basic straight up and down StairLifts, or a custom curve or right
angle StairLifts. Then we need to know if you are planning to use your
StairLifts indoors or outdoors; whether you are planning (looking up from
downstairs) to put the StairLifts on the left side or the right side. We then
have to ask the important questions if you have any doorways or passage ways
that may be a concern. Some StairLifts come with optional flip-ups on the
bottom of the stairway to avoid an opening doorway or obstruction.
Are we going to
install your SRE-1550 StairLifts, or are you?
A
StairLifts sits on your steps. They are basically pretty easy to install.
We actually attach mounting brackets to your stairway and then put the rail on
top. We then but the motorized part on top of the rail. Custom Stairway Units
are a little more difficult to install; and they take more time in the fact that
we have to take custom measurements for your stairway. The price of the custom
stairway that make custom StairLifts is also usually two to three times
more expensive that the more simple, straight StairLifts. The StairLifts
all fold up when not in use; the seat and footrest, to take up less than 14" of
room when not in use. Bruno has a new optional feature that can
electrically elevate the seat and foot rest.
SRE-1550 StairLifts
are Battery Powered
 Usually
the standard features on StairLifts are a battery charger: the reason the units
are so easy to install is that you are really just plugging into your wall a
battery charger. You don't need any special electricity or wiring. By plugging
in the battery charger, you are just charging the batteries. In the event of a
power outage, your StairLifts will still work for about 17 times up and down
(your StairLifts may be the only thing that still works in the event of a power
outage). Batteries usually will last for two to three years before you have to
replace them. The StairLifts will usually "beep" you; and some units even
display a special number code; to tell you the batteries are weak, or need
changing.
